This week we will be looking at character's point of view.  The week will start nice and simple by practicing our fluency while changing our voices to show different character's points of views.  On Wednesday we will get to hold court in order to see who is right, Farmer Brown or the cows from Click Clack Moo.  The main focus this week comes in writing when we add on from last week's learning by writing well elaborated stories.  The students will need to use everything they have learned this year in order to write a piece that follows a well structured story including transition words.  Of course they'll love making their own covers for the writing. The directed drawing for the writing cover came from Proud To Be Primary.

My mentor text will be The Easter Egg.  It is a fabulous text because the story structure is so well written with lots of action, events, character development and a great lesson.
